ENDORSEMENTS
In all my years of exposure to abstract expressionism, and with the exception of painter Mark Rothko, I have never seen works of art emerging from this artistic aesthetic and practice that can be described as ‘spiritual’ or ‘powerful’.  Danny’s recording (paradoxically) does just this.  The sonic result has a hidden power that cannot be analytically explained and its value is even greater because of this fact.  He has developed a language that transcends the musicological and theoretical methodology and goes straight to the fundamental discourse that music alone can address.”
Christos Hatzis  October 2015

‘Present in Nature’ represents a brilliant and mature artistic statement by saxophonist Dani Oore. Dani projects a strong sense of form not only within the individual sections but over the piece as a whole. I hear a logical arc to this recording that I find very impressive considering the complexity and variety of the sonic landscape and improvisations.
The interplay between Oore and drummer/percussionist Jerry Granelli is outstanding and illustrates the trust and cohesion that these two artists have gained from years of experience performing together. I hear both a contemporary and ancient quality to the music that reminds me of the spirit of the masters of jazz improvisation, including Coltrane, Monk, Coleman, and Rollins.
This recording is certainly the work of a fearless artist of great intelligence and extraordinary creativity.  As a fellow saxophonist/improviser I am certainly impressed and inspired by this music.”

ARTIST STATEMENT
does every action have a canvas?
embracing each brush stroke. hear it.
when i was eleven i began making music on the street.
ten years later i came inside.
another ten years passed and i was heering it all together.
microphones hear, there, everywhere. one now.
Jerry and i spontaneously composed.
i combed the sonic data filled with synchronicities across space and also time
to reveal sacred connections through compositional design.

Praise him with the blast of the horn; Praise him with the psaltery and harp.
Praise him with the drum and dance; Praise him with stringed instruments and the pipe.
Praise him with the loud-sounding cymbals; Praise him with the clanging cymbals.
Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord.
